China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is on an official visit to Pakistan, met with the head of the Army staff, also Munir, in Islamabad, said the wing of military media on Friday.
“The discussions focused on regional security, anti -terrorism and matters of mutual interest,” said public relations between services in a statement.
He said that both parties reaffirmed their resolution to strengthen the strategic association for all climate and improve coordination in regional and international forums.

FM Wang Yi reiterated China’s firm support for the sovereignty and development of Pakistan, while the COA expressed their gratitude for Beijing’s constant support, the statement added.
“The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to advance in peace, stability and prosperity in the region.”
The meeting took place one day after the FM China held meetings with the senior officials of Pakistan, including Prime Minister, President and Vice Prime Minister.
A day before, the Chinese FM maintained a strategic dialogue with its Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar, where the two countries reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the high quality development of the Chinese-China-Pakistan Economic Corridor improved.
During the meeting, the two parties reviewed the entire range of Pakistan-China relationships and discussed important regional and global problems. They also exchanged in -depth views of multiple facets of bilateral cooperation, including CPEC 2.0, commercial and economic relations, multilateral cooperation and people’s ties to people.
Going to the Joint Press Stakeout together with the FM YI Chinese, the deputy and Senator of FM, emphasized that the two countries enjoy full granimity and consensus on all important bilateral, regional and global issues.
“We are encouraged by Yi’s vision to advance our bilateral cooperation, especially update CPEC to its next phase,” Dar said.
The Chinese FM Wang described CPEC as the cornerstone of the strategic association of Pakistan-China, stating that the current priority is to advance the high quality development of the corridor.
He said that during the sixth strategic dialogues, the two parties agreed to update CPEC in “a growth corridor, runner that improves the livelihoods, the green corridor and the open corridor.”
“We will work hard to deepen our cooperation of agriculture and industrial mining to improve the well -being of the Pakistani people and accelerate the ability of Pakistan for self -sufficient development and increase the economic resilience of Pakistan,” he said and added that China also supports the development and operation of the port of Gwadar and promotes the KKH realignment project. In addition, Chinese Foreign Minister also welcomed the participation of third parties in the ML-1 project (main line railway).
