Christian Eckes found his balance last year in the Craftsman Truck series.
He published a third place after winning three races and winning 22 Top 10, but made an important movement.
This year, the 24 -year -old is in his first season of the Xfinity series, and although he has not found a similar success, he knew it was a necessary change.

“I felt that I had reached a point in the series of trucks in which I was not happy or happy with success, but it definitely reached a point where I felt quite comfortable when passing to the next level, and I felt that this was a great opportunity to go to a different series with a staircase to the cup, and also”, which now competes with Kaulig Racing, said Pak Gazette Digital in a recent interview.
To continue with his transfer to Xfinity, Eckes associated with Celsius, the energy drink that, he says, has given huge impulse on the day of the race.
“Until now it has been wonderful. I have been able to meet many great people and obviously drink some good drinks along the way. And I am also looking forward to the future,” Eckes said.
“It has helped me a lot. Some of these races are night, or even in the morning, actually. So getting that caffeine definitely helps, as well as hydration packages. There are many things that make them help us to succeed. So yes, a large part of our race weekends.”

Eckes admitted that this season has not gone as he would like. It has only six best results this year.
“We are still trying to find our way,” Eckes said. “We have had something successful here and there, we have had some speed, but not consistently. So, that is a kind of our number 1 thing at this time is to try to boost that and get where we feel we should be, and that remains weekly.”
This weekend, Eckes will compete in Nashville, where he reached the pinnacle of success. He won there last year, and Kaulig has taken the checkered flag there before.
“Nashville should be a good place for us. I won the race last year in the truck series, so I hope it is the weekend that we finally turned,” he said.
Eckes admitted that he was not a fan of Nashville in the past, but “leading every lap last year, now I like a little better.”

“I have done it in a truck before, so I hope to repeat that success. It will take a lot. The XFinity series is difficult to win. You have to be perfect in all aspects or as close as you can be. It will take a lot, but I feel safe in our team to do it.”
