An injury to the calf in August 2024 that was supposed to keep Christian McCaffrey “a couple of weeks” became losing the first eight games of the season.
Then he suffered a knee injury after only four games and stayed out of the rest of the year.
Now, a few days after his 2025 season began, McCaffrey landed in the injury report with another calf problem.

The star corridor of the San Francisco 49ers was the offensive player of the year in 2023 and the number 1 team in almost everyone’s fantasy drafts.
However, that calf problem became Achilles tendinitis on both legs, and McCaffrey even flew to Germany to see a specialist.
McCaffrey did not have a designation of injuries on Wednesday and has been healthy during the low season. He played in 10 total games from 2020 to 2021 due to injuries.

The niners begin their season against NFC West Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in the Bay area.
In his last full season, McCaffrey ran for 1,459 yards leaders in the league and a maximum of race, and his 21 total touchdowns were a maximum of the NFL and a better of his career.

The 49ers acquired McCaffrey of the Carolina Panthers in 2022 and arrived at the NFC championship and the Super Bowl in their first two seasons with them. However, like McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk and others suffered injuries, San Francisco lost the playoffs last season for the first time since 2020.
