Christina Perri gave a special Twilight-thematic performance in The masked singer which teleported fans back to the 2011 film.
The 39-year-old singer appeared on the show’s Wednesday, February 12, episode and performed her Twilight song, thousand yearssporting a pin that read, “I love Edward Cullen.”
The song was accompanied by a rendition of a love triangle depicting the Twilight love triangle between the characters Edward, Bella, and Jacob.
The dancers acted out the wedding scene as Bella appeared in a wedding dress on stage decorated with floral arrangements and hugged Edward while Jacob stood wistfully on the side.
He Twilight-themed episode aired on the occasion of Valentine’s Day following the themes of Fear Night, Clueless Night, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Night and Red, White & Clue Night this season.
As the season progresses, The masked singer It will also include episodes dedicated to the themes of the Ozzy Osbourne tribute, Star Trek, Spice Girls and Care Bears.
Previously talking about the song he wrote for Twilightwhich became a worldwide hit, Perri shared in an interview: “This is a very special story for me. I really was a Twilight fan… [Production said]”We need a song for the wedding scene,” and I was like, “Okay, cool.” And then they chose the song, but not for the wedding.
