- Chuwi Gamebook promises elite performance at a lower price than premium games laptops
- Ryzen 9955HX with 32 threads powers this game machine and creators
- RTX 5070 TI with 12GB GDDR7 makes it a serious contender for 4K Gaming
Chuwi, a better known company for the budgetary devices than the flagship powers, has presented its last effort to enter the high performance segment: the Gamebook 9955HX.
Promoted as a laptop for coders, players and professional creators, this new model is driven by the AMD Ryzen 9955HX processor, a Zen -based chip 5 with 16 nuclei and 32 threads, with a frequency of impulse of up to 5.4Ghz. It also includes a large L3 cache of 64 MB and a configurable TDP that can reach around 55W.
At the time of writing, the price of the device remains without revealing, however, given Chuwi’s story to undergo larger brands, it is reasonable to expect this model to have a lower price than the similar MSI or ASUS offers.

For the graphics, the Gamebook 9955HX integrates the GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 TI LAPTOP GPU, based on the latest Blackwell RTX architecture, which makes it very suitable for video editing and graphic intensive tasks.
The GPU offers 12 GB of GDDR7 VRM, a 140W TGP, and admits features such as full -ray layout, DLSS 4 and the generation of multiple frames.
Chuwi says that this configuration can deliver up to 191 FPS in 1440p games with enabled ray tracking, and 149 FPS to 4K, firmly placing it in the performance laptop category.
For creators who work with AI-AI accelerated tools, advanced 3D representation or a video postproduction, this could be a main contender, provided that their thermal cooling system and thermal management are up to the task.
The screen is a 16 -inch IPS panel with an 300Hz update rate, 100% SRGB color coverage and an 16:10 appearance ratio. The maximum brightness reaches 500 nits, although the statements regarding the accuracy of color have not yet been verified through independent calibration tests.
Internally, the game book is equipped with 32 GB from RAM DDR5 to 5600MHz, update at 64 GB, and a 1TB PCIE 4.0 SSD. The storage expansion is admitted through two M.2 slots, one of which admits PCIe 5.0, which offers a level of future proof not typically seen in the alignment of Chuwi.
The connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, an Ethernet port of 2.5 GB, two USB-C ports (admitting 100W and 140W of energy delivery), three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, HDMI 2.1 and Minipossportport 2.1a. There is also a 3.5 mm, DC-in audio connector and a Kensington lock slot.
Other features include a full-size RGB-backlit keyboard, a 2MP IR webcam with a privacy shutter, a 77.77WH battery and stereo speakers. The laptop measures just over 21 mm thick and weighs 2.3 kg.
