CIE offers a free requirement after paper leakage

Islamabad:

Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) has announced that students affected by the filtration of three level A exams during the May/June 2025 session will be eligible for a free requirement in the next November series.

The decision occurs in the midst of the growing concerns of the students, the parents and the officials after the exam board confirmed last month that parts of several questions of questions had been committed.

CIE, who performs level or and worldwide exams, acknowledged the paper leak in June and declared that affected students would receive compensation in the form of additional grades by the impacted questions.

The leak caused generalized indignation and transparency demands, particularly after the students filed complaints during the exam window.

Before the public admission of the Board, a parliamentary committee had been informed that the findings of the investigation into the alleged paper leaks would be shared after June 16, a delay that only intensified public scrutiny.

On Monday, CIE published an official update on its Facebook page that addresses the candidates that appeared in any of the three committed documents of the June 2025 session.

The affected evaluations include Cambridge International As and Level Mathematics Paper 12, Cambridge International As and Level Mathematics Paper 42, Cambridge International As and a Level Computer Science Paper 22.

“The results for these programs will be published in a normal way,” reads the statement.

“We are offering the free admission of the curriculum in the next series of exams in November 2025 for students who sat down one or more of the three documents affected in June 2025.

“We have sent a message to all candidates and their families through schools and we will provide more information after the launch of the results of our June 2025 exams,” CIE added.

“The candidates are asked to communicate with their schools if they have more questions, and thanks once again to all students and families.”
