CJCSC has high -level defense conversations during Egypt’s visit: ISPR

Islamabad:

The president of the Committee of Chiefs of Joint Personnel (CJCSC), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, celebrated a series of high-level meetings during his official visit to Egypt as part of the third round of Pakistan-Egipto defense and security conversations, the army media wing said Thursday.

According to a statement issued by Public Relations between Services (ISPR), General Mirza called the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Minister of Defense and Military Production, General Abdel, Magician Saqr, Admiral Osama Mounier Mohamed Rabie, President of the Suez Canal Authority, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed el-Tayeb, Great IMAM of Azam.

The statement noted that discussions focused on improving bilateral military cooperation, regional security, anti -terrorist efforts and the broader strategic collaboration.

Both parties reiterated their commitment to strengthen military ties to military, particularly in joint training areas, defense and institutional cooperation exercises.

In his meeting with the Great Imam of Al-Azhar, General Mirza emphasized the importance of religious and interreligious harmony in the promotion of tolerance and inclusion, and in addressing the root causes of extremism and terrorism.

Egyptian leadership praised the professionalism and operational capabilities of the Armed Forces of Pakistan and recognized their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

Previously, upon arrival at the Ministry of Defense, the CJCSC was presented with an honor guard for a contingent of the Egyptian armed forces.
