- Anthrope is implementing a new voice mode for your chatbot Claude
- You can use it to search on Google Calendar and Gmail in a paid plan
- The voice mode will also be available at the free level, but with limitations of use
Claude, the popular AI chatbot of Anthrope, is implementing a voice mode to all its mobile application users. While it is still in beta, the new voice mode will be in English and users can be accessed in all current plans, including the free plan.
The voice mode with Claude works like the voice mode in Gemini or Chatgpt. In fact, it plays an icon that looks quite identical to the Gemini Live icon to activate it.
Once the voice mode is activated, you simply start talking to Claude to listen to your voice responses. While speaking, it shows your key points on the screen, which allows you to change without problems between text and voice within the same conversation.
He obtains five different Claude voices to choose from, according to Claude’s documentation, and can change each other at any time simply going to configuration and then to voice preferences.
Hello Claude
You can get a preview of how the voice mode will work in Claude thanks to a practical video that Anthrope has published in X.com:

The video demonstrates how, simply talking with Claude (even while brushing your teeth), you can make the AI check your calendar, search your Gmail or Google Drive entry tray, and even write an email for you.
This type of ability firmly moves to the role of a digital assistant, however, it is worth noting that the integrations of Gmail and Google Calendar are only available in Claude payments, which start at $ 20 (around £ 16 / au $ 32) for a professional account, and rises to $ 200 (around £ 148 / au $ 311) per month for Max 20x.
Use limits
You do not get unlimited access to voice conversations in Claude. Each conversation counts for its regular use limits depending on its subscription plan.
Claude free users can expect approximately 20-30 voice messages before reaching session limits, while payments payments have significantly higher limits.
The voice mode is a timely update to Claude, which laughed behind its rivals, Chatgpt and Gemini, not providing a voice mode. Anthrope also has just updated Claude’s LLM to Claude Opus 4.0 and Claude Sonnet 4.0. Opus 4.0 is a powerful AI model that stands out in coding, while Sonnet is a light model designed for regular use and a great improvement in the previous model of Sonnet 3.7.
