There is no update yet on elevated errors when using Claude, but Anthropic has a fix for authenticating to the platform. At 11:29 am ET, just a few minutes ago, Claude says a fix has been implemented:
Claude confirms a separate issue with login
It looks like Claude might be recovering a bit, as although he’s still slow to respond (it took me about a minute instead of a few seconds for a relatively easy message), I was able to get a response from Anthropic’s popular AI chatbot. I’m using the Sonnet 4.5 model here.
Similarly, reports on Down Detector are starting to plateau, with around 2,250 in the United States for Claude as of 11:05 a.m. ET.
Claude confirms that a “high errors” issue is occurring
And here’s a look at this error message. I see this appear when I open a new chat with Claude on desktop, but also after sending a message. Let us know in the comments below if you’re having trouble with Claude.
I have a free account, as do some of my colleagues, and Claude just doesn’t respond to prompts. I see an error message, “This is not working at this time,” suggesting I try again, and it appears on both desktop and mobile.
To get started, here’s a look at Down Detector at 10:40 am ET showing over 2,400 reports of issues with Claude.
