Islamabad:
The Federal Minister of Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain, has informed the National Assembly that the closure of public service stores (USC) was part of a stages restructuring process approved by a cabinet committee on the correct size, with the aim of improving efficiency and reducing losses.
In response to a point raised by Asifa Bhutto Zardari at the point of order, he said that in the initial steps the losses sale were closed in addition to releasing the daily salary staff. However, a separate package was made for contractual and regular employees to guarantee their financial safety, he said.
