Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has increased the loan limit through the Kissan card to RS300,000 RS150,000 and announced a subsidy of up to 95 percent in the solarization of agricultural tubes wells.
Going to a ceremony at the Kala Shah Kaku Rice Research Institute, he also announced the launch of an SMS and a help line for farmers who do not have the card.
She announced that the green tractors would be provided in the subsidy to 20,000 farmers next year together with the establishment of agricultural machinery rental centers in each Tehsil.
The prime minister also congratulated farmers for the success of Operation Bunyan-Un-Marsososos and praised the performance of all government institutions.
He added: “The reduction of inflation from 40% to almost zero is no less than a miracle. During my visit to Lahore, a woman congratulated me for the reduction of vegetable prices. Onions, which used to sell to RS300 per kg in Punjab, are now available at RS50.” She said that the reduction in flour and bread prices had benefited people.
The prime minister said: “Those who tried to create a fissure between the farmers and the government failed miserably. Punjab farmers are benefiting from the historical package. I assured the farmers to cultivate wheat without fear and the government would not allow any loss to accumulate them.”
He added: “Instead of the support price of the wheat, a direct subsidy is being given to the farmers. I want to make all the resources available to our farmers, but some difficult decisions must be made to create a balance in the economy. A support value of RS5,000 per acre is giving to wheat farmers. She said that 85% of the loans acquired through the Kissan card had been reimbursed.

She described: “Due to early planting, cotton cultivation will increase between 30 and 40% and its production will be six million bullets this year. The main minister launched the scheme for wheat farmers giving tractors and concession of cash at the ceremony. He also inspected the last Chinese tractors on the occasion.
