Cm Gandapur releases RS3B for flood relief in kp


The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has released RS3 billion for rescue and relief operations after generalized destruction caused by heavy rains and sudden floods.

Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur left Dera Ismail Khan to visit the areas affected by floods, where families are expected to know and check the help efforts, said Express News.

At a high -level meeting in Peshawar, attended by the main secretary, the division commissioners, the attached commissioners and the PDMA officials, the authorities reported that in Leas 308 people have lost their lives so far, with 23 injured.

The Government has assigned RS1.5 billion to the Provincial Authority of Disaster Management (PDMA) and RS1.5 billion to the Department of Communications for Rehabilitation. In addition, RS500 million have been provided to commissioners attached to compensation to the families of the victims.

Medical equipment, food and medication supplies have been sent, while helicopters and rescue equipment are dedicated to relocating people and restoring access roads.

The authorities have declared an emergency of flooding and health throughout the province, and operations continue in coordination with the federal government and military support, but led by the Civil Administration.

CM Gandapur directed that the road links will be restored urgently, and helicopter services organized when necessary. He ordered compensation payments within two days and secured uninterrupted food supplies.
