LAHORE:
Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, says when heading to a provincial cabinet meeting on Monday: “We are not only giving a zero tax budget, but the largest development budget. The previous development budget was also a record, but also we will break all our records.
The prime minister said that 100 innovative programs and projects had begun in Punjab, 700 roads were being built, and the construction and expansion of 12,000 km of roads is a record.
She added: “Total attention focuses on people, there is no example of such a considerable budget in health and education in history. There will be free medications available everywhere. We will also meet our goal of providing essential facilities in government schools during this year.”
She stressed: “A cleaning record was established throughout the province in the EID. It is easy to increase taxes by increasing its rate, but instead we will focus on improving the fiscal network. If we build two or four large projects, it seems that a great job has been done, but we have brought 100 new programs. More than 40,000 houses could be built 40 years, but we have completed them in a single year.”
Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz said: “I have memorized figures related to each department in the 2025-26 budget, which will prove to be an unprecedented budget in the history of the country.”
She added: “We will consider the bonus granting to government employees in their performance, the minimum wage of a worker is set at RS40,000 per month.” She emphasized: “The salary system should be digitized. The local debt rate in Punjab has decreased in a 94%record.”

He added: “All progress will be presented at the Provincial Assembly, everyone will say how many funds were spent where no scandal arose due to electronic resistance and good governance.”
