CM orders drainage system for future needs

Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif ordered the disappointed of the Lahore channel and the automobiles of a sewerage system while maintaining the future needs of the city.

He was presiding over a meeting to review the progress in the Lahore development program, where the attached commissioner presented a report.

The CM was informed that Wasa would put a total of 780 kilometers of new pipes one to six feet in diameter in LaHore. In the first phase, 450 km of sewerage pipes will be placed.

The contract is being launched through the LaHore development management system. NESPAK will inspect the project through the Inspector application. The digital monitoring of physical and financial progress can also be done through the management information system.

The CM was informed that RS16 billion had saved themselves by adopting transparency in the LaHore development plan.

In the first phase of the plan, the construction, renewal and development of six areas in LaHore will be carried out. The development plan includes the construction of the water supply and the drainage system, connecting roads and street pavements. The installation of street lights and parks rehabilitation are also included in the plan.

The CM said: “The streets in the villages must be paved with the same pattern and quality as in the cities. There will be no commitment on the quality of development projects.”

Reallocation of funds

Meanwhile, RS340 million has been discharged for the acquisition of medicines for the May Hospital on the instructions of the main minister.

According to an official statement, permission has been granted to use existing funds aimed at saving and taking into account vacancies in the hospital to buy medicines.

The Finance Department has issued an order to reallocate the funds.
