Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz, Sharif, inaugurated the second phase of the Wheels’ clinics in Lahore, with the aim of providing improved medical care services directly to residents.

Speaking at the ceremony, the CM Punjab stressed that more than ten million patients have received treatment through 911 mobile clinics operating in Punjab in recent months.

He added that the project currently provides free medical care to more than 45,000 people daily throughout the province.

Maryam Nawaz said that freshly launched vehicles are totally with air conditioning and are equipped with the necessary medical facilities, which function as totally operational clinics with doctors and medical staff on board.

To improve supervision, a monitoring system has been introduced to monitor the performance of mobile clinics and ensure that they achieve their planned impact.

The program initially deployed almost 250 vehicles during its first phase. With the largest number of units, the project now aims to serve approximately 4 million people in all Punjab districts.

These mobile clinics, which serve urban and rural populations, will provide a variety of services that include deliveries, essential medical care and diagnostic facilities.

Special attention was called patients in remote areas that receive up to two months of medication supply through this initiative.

She paid tribute to the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, noting that her terms saw significant advances in the Punjab health sector.

He added that his government is committed to building a comprehensive health system to guarantee accessible medical services throughout the province.

In addition to mobile clinics, the prime minister announced plans to establish modern cardiology centers in eight cities, including Mianwali, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Jhelum, Sahiwal, Murree and Layyah.
