Coas says he did not receive any letter from anyone

Islamabad:

The head of the Army personnel (COA), General Syed also Munir, categorically declared on Thursday that he did not receive any letter, nor would he read even if he obtained one, telling the media that he would send such a letter to the prime minister.

While speaking the journalists informally at an event, the Army Chief said that the letter talk was just a ploy. Although he did not appoint anyone, his talk comes in the context of PTI leadership claims that the founder of the party, Imran Khan, had written two letters to the Army Chief, while he would also write a third letter.

“I have not received any letter from anyone. Even if I receive a letter, I will not read it. If I receive a letter, I will send it to the prime minister,” said the general also Munir. “Any card talk is just a ploy,” he added.

PTI’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, said on Wednesday that Imran had shared with PTI’s leadership the content of his third open letter to the Army Chief, in which he would raise concerns regarding the alleged appearance in the general elections of last year .

He said that the letter would cover six main points and address problems, such as the need for deep structural reforms, the damage caused to democracy by government policies and other critical issues.

Previously, PTI’s leadership had confirmed that Imran had written two letters, addressed to the Army Chief. Previously, this week an open letter was published to the Army Chief in the Imran account on the X Microblogging website. In the letters he expressed concern about the current situation in the country.

However, in his informal talk, the Army Chief emphasized that Pakistan was advancing “very good way” and “development is taking place” everywhere. “Pakistan is moving forward and Pakistan has to move forward,” he said.

The sources had declared that it was clear about the conversation of the head of the Army that the Government and the military were on the same page, and added that the head of the Army had expressed their confidence in the government through their brief informal talk with the media of communication
