COAS vows to show no mercy to terrorists and their accomplices

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on Sunday reaffirmed the army’s commitment to combat terrorism until complete elimination of terrorists, along with their enablers, accomplices and financiers.

Interacting with officers and troops during a visit to Wana in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa district of South Waziristan, the army chief termed the martyrs as the pride of Pakistan and emphasized that the sacrifices of the martyrs will never be forgotten, the Service said. of Interservice Public Relations (ISPR). he said in a statement.

The COAS reaffirmed the commitment of the Pakistan Army to pursue Fitna Al Khwarij, who will continue to be pursued until her elimination along with the facilitator, accomplices and financier who will have to pay the price for her nefarious activities against the State.

“The sacrifices of the martyrs will never be forgotten,” the ISPR statement quoted the army chief as saying during the visit. He described soldiers of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) as the nation’s true heroes, whose bravery and selfless dedication inspire the entire country.

“With the strong support of the nation, the Pakistan Army, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies [LEAs]”remains firm in its determination to eliminate terrorism and extremism in all its forms, in addition to ensuring the restoration of lasting peace and stability throughout the country,” he added.

The ISPR stated that General Asim Munir reaffirmed the army’s “commitment to pursue Fitna Al Khwarij, who will continue to be pursued until her elimination along with the facilitators, accomplices and financiers, who will be made to pay the price for their nefarious activities against the state”.

The army chief praised the unwavering resilience and steadfastness of the officers and troops in the face of terrorism, reaffirming the nation’s pride in their sacrifices. He stressed that the bravery and unwavering determination of the armed forces were the cornerstone of the nation’s sovereignty.

During the visit, the army chief was briefed in detail on the current security landscape and ongoing counter-terrorism operations. On arrival at Wana, the COAS was received by the Peshawar Corps Commander, the ISPR statement concluded.
