Crypto Exchange Coinbase (Coin) said he received regulatory approval to offer services to users in Argentina.
The company received a Virtual Asset Services Supplier (VASP) of the National Securities Commission of Argentina (CNV), said in a blog post on Tuesday.
Expansion is part of the mission of the exchange of increasing economic freedom worldwide. In 2023, Coinbase launched its services in Brazil as a first impulse in the Latin American region.
Approximately 5 million Argentines use crypto daily, said Coinbase, and 76% of adults see Crypto as a solution to some of their financial frustrations, including high inflation and transaction costs. The operations will be led by Matìas Alberti, who previously worked in the Fintech field in Buenbit and Clara.
