COINDESK TOP Women on Web3 and AI – Methodology

At first glance, throwing web3 and AI in a headline may seem a bad example of fashion words soup, the practice of media companies trying to play algorithms (and their attention) using a lot of the most wanted words of the day. But Caindeesk has been following the slow integration of applications that track large amounts of data into a public block chain and artificial intelligence capable of making sense of that data for a decade.

In the first woman of Coendesk on the web3 and AI list, we consulted with a panel of judges respected in their fields to create what we believe is a powerful list that captures the spirit of the moment.

Parallel revolutions

What we are witnessing are two parallel technological revolutions: the promise of blockchain decentralization and the jump of AI towards the transformation of how we work, create and build the world. While these fields may seem different, they share something crucial: both are remodeling the fundamental infrastructure of our digital future.

The moment of this convergence is not a coincidence. As the AI demands the increasing computational power and access to the data, already measure that blockchain networks seek new cases of use beyond cryptocurrency, the two fields are naturally intended in areas such as data verification, distributed computing and digital identity.

The main AI companies are exploring blockchain -based solutions for data origin. Cryptographic projects are integrating AI for everything, from fraud detection to agent trade. A completely new web field, called Decentralized Artificial Intelligence (DEAI) is taking advantage of the large amount of energy used to audit blockchains to train models of AI capable of competing with centralized solutions.

The authors of tomorrow

The gender gap of the technology industry is well documented, particularly in emerging fields such as Blockchain and IA. While the reasons are complex, from the educational problems of the pipe to the culture in the workplace, the result is that women remain significantly underrepresented in both fields.

Then there is the list. These 50 notable women are not notes at the foot of the history of emerging technology: they are their authors. They are building protocols and platforms, leading new companies of billions of dollars and configuring global governance frames. They are doing this while sailing the systems never designed with them in mind, bringing empathy, creativity and uncompromising rigor to the most critical problems of our time.

AI and Blockchain are two sides of the same currency: one built in probabilistic reasoning and the other on cryptographic certainty. AI interprets and predicts the world; Blockchain verifies and retains it. One thrives in inference, the other in immutability. Together, they offer a plan for a future that is adaptive and responsible, generative and fair.

This list became life through a collaboration between Coindesk and the conversation test, organized by Xventures. As part of its annual summit, held this year in Paris in the Louvre Palace, the conversation test summons a variety of actors in the block chain and the ecosystems of AI: founders, investors, policy and academic formulators that help shape the trajectory of both fields in the coming years.

With the development of the accelerating worldwide and block chain applications such as stables that obtain institutional adoption, European participation in both technical development and policy formation has become increasingly important for the broader technological competitiveness of the region. Web3 and AI are truly global, and each region is contributing and competing.

Selection methodology

To help ensure that the list selection process was as impartial as possible, we look for multiple perspectives.

An initial public scope in numerous social media platforms and for our deeply expert analysts of origin, resulted in more than 300 nominations of each geographical region. After eliminating the name and contact information of each nomination, the Editorial Board of Coindesk reduced the candidates for 100 semifinalists. Then, a panel of five judges reviewed the resulting list of semifinalists, looking for the rare combination of innovation, relevance and influence. Each judge reviewed about 20 candidates, providing crucial comments for the final selection process.

The judges were: Julia Bonafede, co -founder of the investment management firm, Rosetta Analytics; Olivia Bolec, Global Enterprise account director of Google; Sarah Idahosa, founder of women in Defi; Saruul Krause-Jentsch, Chief of Podcast of Spotify for Central Europe; and Amélie M., founder and president of the French branch of the Association of Women in Crypt.

In the end, it was the Editorial Board of Coindesk, including myself, who closely reviewed the resulting comments, making the difficult decision of the 50 leaders to be recognized.

Instead of focusing exclusively on technical innovation, the list recognizes that the development of emerging technologies implies multiple types of experience, from the development of products and commercial strategy to regulatory compliance and ethical frameworks. As both web3 and AI pass from experimental phases to a broader adoption, these different perspectives become increasingly important.
