Coldplay on Saturday will reprogram the last two dates of London of his music from Spheres World Tour due to a planned London Metro strike that would prevent fans from arriving at the Wembley stadium.

The band said it would be “impossible” to transport 82,000 fans to and from the place without tube services, and added that “an event license cannot be granted for the nights of September 7 and 8”.

To avoid direct cancellations, the September 7 show will be transferred to September 6, while the September 8 concert changes to September 12. All existing tickets remain valid for rescheduled dates.

“Any ticket holder who cannot attend their rescheduling program can obtain a complete refund in their ticket, and they are asked to communicate with their purchase point before 12:00 BST on Tuesday, September 2,” said the band.

Returned tickets will be sold as of September 3.

The remaining programs on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday will continue as planned.

“We regret the inevitable disappointment, frustration and inconveniences that this situation causes,” said Coldplay.

Despite the changes, the band will continue to perform 10 nights in Wembley, breaking the set of eight shows held by Take and Taylor Swift.
