The commanders published a nostalgic video that shows the old days of the franchise, previously known as the Washington Redskins, which is reproduced in the winning field of the Washington Super Bowl, DC, Joe Theisman narrated the video.
“The moment is now,” said Theismann. “We bring Washington back to DC”
The franchise played at the RFK stadium from 1961 to 1996 before moving to Landover, Maryland, in the faculty now known as Northwest Stadium. The team owner, Josh Harris, had considered different sites for a new stadium since he bought Daniel Snyder’s team.

Congress legislators supported Harris’ search for the old RFK stadium site with the condition of the team and the NFL would honor the old Redskins logo in some way. Senator Steve Daines, a montification Republican, said he would support the organization in the future with his plan after “negotiations in good faith” with both entities.
“We were calling the leaders in case it really woke up. The irony that they were canceling the culture of the Native Americans as the Dei movement came too far,” Daines said in November. “This is in honor of a Blackfeet chief who was born in Montana. It is very estimated. The Blackfeet tribe of Montana, its current president and tribal council signed a letter with strong support to bring the logo back. Honor the Indian country.
“We have good discussions with the NFL and the commanders. There is good faith in negotiations in the future that will allow this logo to be used again. Perhaps the income that goes to a base that could help the Native Americans in sports, etc.
Harris said in August that 2030 was a “reasonable objective” for a new stadium.

He also expressed the hope that a future draft of the NFL will take place in the National Shopping Center between the United States Capitol and the Memorial Lincoln.
