The Washington Commanders went for the ball for their third NFC Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, and chaos ensued when Saquon Barkley led the team to the goal line.
Barkley broke free for a 22-yard run on the third play of the trip and got the Eagles within a yard of adding to their lead.

Jalen Hurts tried to enter the end zone but was stopped. Commanders defensive lineman Jonathan Allen was called up for a defensive offense. Then after being stopped, Washington committed three consecutive penalties to try to stop what they knew was coming.
Commanders linebacker Frankie Luvu attempted to jump the play twice. He was called for invasion sanctions. Then Allen was called to the invasion. Commanders were then warned that officials could reward the Eagles with a score if they kept trying to skip the play and collect a penalty.

After Allen’s foul, Hurts was able to be pushed into the end zone for his fourth touchdown of the game. Philadelphia went up 41-23 with 12:24 left in the game.
Hurts kept the Eagles rolling the entire game. He ran the ball into the end zone three times and threw a touchdown pass to wide receiver AJ Brown early in the game.
Barkley ran for two touchdowns in the first quarter, including a 60-yard gallop.
Philadelphia approached its second Super Bowl appearance in three years.
