Offset is being sued for assault by a security guard.
According to documents obtained by TMZ Security guard Jim Sanchez filed a lawsuit alleging assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress against Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus.
The incident occurred during the rapper’s visit to a MedMen cannabis dispensary near the Los Angeles airport in March.
Sanchez claimed Offset “became hostile, verbally confrontational and physically attacked the plaintiff by punching him in the face” when he was asked to show identification.
He also accused several others of joining in to “assault and beat him further” during the altercation.
The security guard alleged that paramedics eventually took him to a local hospital because he was suffering from severe head and neck pain.
Offset’s rep said TMZ that a dispensary guard lunged at him and spit in the hip-hop star’s face during the dispute over showing identification and denied that Offset started the violence.
Cardi B’s ex-husband is also fighting a sentence against him for an alleged assault at a Florida strip club, after two men accused him of attacking them at the premises in 2021.
According to court documents obtained by Us, The alleged victims formally filed to begin collection proceedings against Offset earlier this year.
Offset has been hit by a new six-figure legal claim from the United States Department of the Treasury, which brings his total outstanding taxes to more than $2.3 million.
