The UFC announced that Conor McGregor accepted a long period of inelegability for violating the company’s anti -doping policy.

McGregor accepted a suspension of 18 months after failing three attempts to “collection of biological samples in a period of 12 months in 2024”, which is a violation of anti -doping policy.

“The UFC athletes must provide precise information about their whereabouts at all times, so that they can be contacted and subject to collecting biological samples without prior notice,” said the UFC. “The failed McGregor tests occurred on June 13, September 19 and September 20, 2024, and each of them was classified as ‘Paradero Fallas’ by the CSAD (Combat sports anti -doping) according to the ADP of UFC.”

Initially, McGregor was going to be suspended for 24 months, although cooperation with the company led to a reduced suspension, according to the press release.

“Although McGregor was not available for evidence on those dates, CSAD noticed that he was recovering from an injury and was not preparing for an upcoming fight at the time of the three lost evidence. McGregor fully cooperated with CSAD’s investigation, accepted responsibility and provided detailed information that CSAD determined that he contributed to the lost evidence.

Dana White promises the ‘best fighting card ever mounted’ for a potential UFC event of the White House in 2026

“Despite these mitigating factors, CSAD emphasizes that precise whereabouts and the ability to perform tests without prior notice are essential for the success of the UFC ADP. Taking into account the cooperation and circumstances of McGregor, CSAD reduced in six months the standard sanction of 24 months for three location failures.”

The McGregor suspension is retroactive to the date of its last lost test, which means that it is eligible to return to the competition in March 2026, three months before the possible White House fight billboard in which you have publicly said you want to fight.

President Donald Trump announced that the White House billboard, where the UFC will organize an event in the famous lawn of the historic monument, will take place in June 2026 to commemorate the 250 birthday of the United States.

While McGregor said it was a “closed treatment” that would return to the octagon for that long -awaited event, the CEO of UFC, Dana White, rejected it after UFC 320 last Saturday.

“I made it clear that Conor wants to fight on that billboard, and you can clearly see that Conor is very excited to fight in that billboard,” White said, according to Yahoo Sports. “But nothing has been done yet and fights are being negotiated with the White House.”

White promised that it would be “the largest billboard ever gathered” for the White House event.
