Last month, and just anyone’s surprise, the Mavericks selected Flagg with the superior selection in the NBA Draft of 2025.
Flagg, 18, became one of the youngest basketball stars taken at number 1. LeBron James retains the distinction of being the youngest player in the history of the League that will take place with the best general selection.

Flagg described the moment he heard his name called by the NBA commissioner as “a dream come true.”
Flagg is expected to make its debut in the NBA summer league on July 10 against the Los Angeles Lakers. The chief coach of the Mavericks, Jason Kidd, recently revealed that he wants to see Flagg in Action in the ship’s position.
“I want to put it in the shipowner. I want you to feel uncomfortable and see how it reacts. Be able to execute the program. To be able to play (escort). Play (small striker). He feels comfortable playing that. We want to press. I think he will respond in a positive way.”
