An assistant sub -inspector was suspended for not taking measures on a complaint of citizens in an open court held by the Rawalpindi CPO. Khalid Hamdani celebrated an open court (Khuli Kachehri) in the New Town circle, where he suspended Shehzad Ahmed from the New Town police station for not taking measures on the complaint of a citizen and visiting the offices again and again.

During the open hearing, which was held for the citizens of the jurisdictions of the city police stations and Sadiqabad, the Khalid Hamdani CPO heard several complaints and issued several orders that the police will implement. In particular, he ordered a departmental action against like SHAHZAD AHMED of the New Town Police Station.

Among other things, he addressed the problem of increasing crime by stating that multiple criminal gangs have been tracked, but street crime remains a challenge that will soon be overcome. He stressed that drug traffickers are also in the police radar and promised that the police would not rest until the drug threat is eradicated.

The use of microphones and speakers was restricted during the audience. Only the CPO Rawalpindi, the officers on the stage and the plaintiffs who present their cases could listen to us. This unusual arrangement surprised the attendees. The open court had organized in a marriage room and, therefore, raised many problems for attendees who tried to hear their complaints.

Only those sitting near the CPO on stage could file their complaints, while others could not hear what was being discussed. Some participants commented that an open court should be totally accessible to all so that all complaints and their resolutions could be heard openly. They suggested that privacy was a concern for certain people, microphones and speakers could have been deactivated for specific cases instead of restricting them completely.

During the open court, Cpo Rawalpindi heard personally that individual complaints and ordered the relevant officers to take immediate measures. A significant number of women also presented their problems.

After the complaint of a citizen about the inaction in his application, CPO Hamdani immediately suspended Shehzad from the New Town police station and ordered departmental procedures against him.
