The late Queen Elizabeth II loved the Corgi breed. He had almost thirty of them in his palace.
In 2022, a race of short -legged dogs was held to celebrate 70 years of the late monarch as queen.
His name was Corgi Derby. Since then, it has been held annually, and this year, it was organized in Scotland.
In the race, Juno, a four -year -old Corgi, won against sixteen competitors in a 70 -meter race in the racecourse.
One of its owners, Alisdair Tew, with a trophy in his hand, told BBC that “we train her for this last year, but this year we resort to letting her chase things, particularly the seagulls on Portobello beach in Edimburg,” and added: “Juno is always ready for sweets, that’s why he won.”
Elizabeth’s love for Corgis was caused by her father, King Jorge VI, who presented a Pembroke Welsh Corgi TP the family in 1993.
He was appointed Dookie, and since then, the Corgis were constantly united to the queen, from coming with her on tours to sleep under the same roof.
They had even appeared in the popular video of the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games together with the queen.
