Court extends Ducky Bhai’s wife’s interim bail in gambling app case

The Lahore Sessions Court on Wednesday extended the interim bail of Aroob Jatoi, wife of YouTuber Saadur Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, in the case relating to the promotion of a gambling app.

Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ali Qureshi extended his bail till March 24 and ordered him to ensure his attendance at future hearings, warning him that no exemptions would be granted under his bail in future.

The court on Monday charged Ducky Bhai, Aroob Jatoi and other co-accused in a case registered by the National Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) for promoting gambling and betting apps.

The case, registered on August 17, falls under Sections 13 (Electronic Forgery), 14 (Electronic Fraud), 25 (Spamming) and 26 (Spoofing) of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), along with Sections 294-B (offering of prizes related to trade) and 420 (Cheating and Dishonestly Inducing Delivery of Goods) of the Pakistan Penal Code. (PPC).

During the hearing, the NCCIA investigating officer requested that the accused’s mobile phone be subjected to forensic examination. The court granted the request, allowing time for the forensic process to be completed.

The lawyers of Aroob Jatoi, Usman and Aftab, citing delays in obtaining the forensic report, requested that the next hearing be scheduled after Ramazan. The court approved the request.

Ducky Bhai, one of Pakistan’s most subscribed YouTubers with over 800 videos and over 10 million subscribers, was arrested on August 17, 2025, after the NCCIA registered a case against him.

He was detained at the Lahore airport while trying to leave the country and his name was included in the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL). The FIR was lodged under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 and relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code.
