Cruz Beckham couldn’t contain his emotions on Tuesday night as he performed a song about ‘breaking mom’s heart’ in front of his parents, amid his ongoing family feud with Brooklyn.
For the uninitiated, Brooklyn lives in the United States with his wife and has recently made it public that he does not wish to remain connected to his entire family, amid serious accusations.
Like his debut tour with his band. The breakers As it comes to an end, Cruz became visibly emotional on stage at London’s Courtyard Theatre.
During the set, he performed The loneliest boywhich is believed to be about his estranged brother, as the lyrics include: “Loneliest boy, mom, don’t talk too much, it’s breaking his heart.”
A concert attendee said The mirror: “At one point during the song, he seemed overcome with emotion as his bandmate put his arm around his shoulder and ruffled his hair affectionately.”
Cruz performed as his proud parents Sir David, 50, and Victoria, 51, looked on, as well as his older brother Romeo, 23.
Fans were convinced that the biting lyrics are about Brooklyn’s growing estrangement from her family.
The lyrics of Loneliest Boy also say: “It shows in the little things that you don’t do, I guess in the end it’s you, yourself and you.” Tell me, how do you live when you have no one to lose?
The song continues: “The loneliest boy, put all your bets on him. To find something bad in someone good, he always does. The loneliest boy, I hope you’re listening. Don’t push all your friends away when we try to show you love.”
Elsewhere, the chorus says, “Tell me you’re scared and you need someone to hug.” Because you’re in the room, but really, does it even show?
“But why can’t they see that you’re a million miles away? They’ll never know when you look that close.”
Cruz announced his debut as a starter with The breakers at The Courtyard Theater in London on March 27, which sold out within minutes.
He followed the announcement with a full UK and EU tour, kicking off in Birmingham on February 25, before traveling to Cardiff, Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Southampton and Brighton.
He will now perform in Amsterdam and Berlin, before culminating with three nights in London at The Courtyard Theatre.
