Crypto’s Fairshake notches last victories in the races of Florida Congress

The main political action committee of cryptocurrencies, Fireshake, flooded support for Republican candidates in the special elections of the United States Representatives Chamber this week in Florida that aimed to occupy vacant seats in Congress. Both candidates won, further reinforcing the close national majority of the party.

The two seats in Florida had been unoccupied when President Donald Trump took advantage of the previous members to join his administration, including his national security advisor, Michael Waltz, and Congressman Trump initially chose as attorney general, Matt Gaetz, who quickly retired under the pressure of the accusations that he had had sex with a minor and was linked to the illegal use of drugs.

Florida’s voters chose state senator Randy Fine to take the old Waltz seat and choose the state financial director, Jimmy Patronis, to replace Gaetz. The races attracted a high level of attention and money from both parties, due to the importance of each seat for the narrow majority of the house. While the Democrats could not direct the conservative districts by their side, they won much more support in both districts than in the recent 2024 elections.

An affiliate from Fireshake Pac had paid for the advertising that supported the pro-Crypto, Patronis and Fule candidates, in the primary and general elections in Florida, including the last minutes of $ 1.5 million to help guarantee their victory.

“We are delighted to see two strong innovation champions aimed at Washington,” said Fairshake spokesman Josh Vlasto, in a statement. “Both leaders have shown a deep commitment to the progress of policies in favor of growth and ensure that the United States leads the world in the innovation of cryptographic and digital assets.”

The arrival of both of SI leaves only two vacancies there due to the death of Texas and Arizona Democratic members.
