- Dapustor binds to Soldigm and CO with high -capacity business SSD 122.88TB
- Only available in China for now, the new unit is an update of 61.44TB J5060 SSD
- Firmware and DRAM updates increase performance and response capacity
Do you remember when 122.88TB SSDS were a rarity? Soldigm was the first to launch one, and since then Samsung, Phison, Sandisk and Kioxia have continued with their own high -capacity business units.
Now he joins that illustrious club is Dapustor. When we cover the SSD J5060 J5060 of 61.44TB of the Chinese company (developed with contributions from Soldigm), we noticed that a 122.88TB version was planned by 2025. That impulse has now been officially revealed, more or less.
If you visit the Dapustor Chinese home page, you will see the 122TB QLC J5060 appears briefly before disappearing as the site redirects its English version. However, with a little excavation, it is possible to access the official announcement.
Not just a capacity milestone
“For personal users, this SSD can store 11,000 90 -minute 4K movies,” says Dapustor.
“While that sounds more like a fun fact, it reflects the strong combination of technology and convenience. For business clients, especially for those who deal with high density implementations, the J5060 122TB provides at least five times the usable storage space compared to a 24 TB HDD, which helps save space on the shelf and implementation costs.”
Dapustor continues to use the U.2 interface for an easy HDD replacement and energy efficiency is a great approach.
The company’s announcement says that the J5060 consumes only 13W during the operation, with an inactive power as low as 2.5W. This “helps data centers reduce their carbon footprint while maintaining performance.”
This performance obtains an increase on the 61TB model thanks to DRAM and firmware optimizations.
The sequential readings reach 7.3GB/s, write reach 6.8GB/S, 4K RANDOM READS from above 1500K IOPS and 16 KB random writes land at 45k IOPS. The latency remains below 100 μs.
“As one of the first QLC adopters in the business space, Dapustor continues to push the limits. 122.88TB is not only a milestone of capacity, but reflects the confidence of the company in the maturity and reliability of QLC technology,” the announcement runs.
“With a strong validation behind its QLC SSD, Dapustor is helping customers to the transition with confidence to the era of ultra high capacity storage.”
