ISLAMABAD:
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar spoke with his UAE counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Saturday. “The two leaders exchanged views on the development of the regional situation and underlined the importance of peace and stability,” the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said in a press release.
The Foreign Minister expressed concern over the recent attacks in the region, including those in the UAE, and conveyed Pakistan’s solidarity with the UAE and its people. Dar also spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. During the conversation, they discussed the evolution of the regional situation. The two leaders also exchanged views on recent developments and agreed to stay in touch.
In a telephone conversation with the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, Dar exchanged views on the regional situation. Both sides underlined the importance of reducing tensions and emphasized dialogue and cooperation for peace and stability in the region.
