VicePrimer Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with China’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi, apart from the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers in Tianjin.
Give congratulated his Chinese counterpart for the successful host of the summit and thanked Beijing for hospitality extended to the Pakistan delegation.

The two leaders maintained discussions on shared strategic priorities, including the Chinese-Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC) and multilateral cooperation within regional and international platforms.
Both parties emphasized the strength of the Strategic Cooperative Association of Pakistan-China for all climate, expressing their satisfaction for their close coordination in political, economic and security domains.

According to the statement, Dar and Wang reiterated their commitment to deepen bilateral cooperation aimed at promoting regional peace, development and stability.
In a shared publication in X (previously Twitter), Dar described the visit as successful, thanked the Chinese government for its warm hospitality and recognized the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and the embassy in Beijing for its role in guaranteeing a diplomatic commitment without problems.

Earlier on Tuesday, Dar went to the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OCS, where he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional stability, multilateral cooperation and the resolution of peaceful disputes.
Dar described the SCO as a stabilizer platform in the midst of the deepening of global geopolitical uncertainty and praised China’s leadership to direct the organization of the organization forward. He also welcomed Belarus as the new complete member of the regional bloc.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visits China in August, accompanied by Field Marshal Syed also, to further advance bilateral ties and discuss recent regional developments, including conflict with India.
