ISLAMABAD:
DPM/FM Senator Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level meeting on Friday to review infrastructure facilities at Karachi ports, emphasizing modernization, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of port operations.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Maritime Affairs, the Secretaries of Maritime Affairs and Finance, as well as the chairmen of the KPT and the Qasim Port Authority, according to a press release from the DPM Office.
Participants reviewed recent modernization initiatives that have improved cargo handling capacity and reduced transaction costs. Discussions also focused on the integration of advanced engineering and IT solutions to further optimize port operations.
