Darren Waller is putting his pads again.
Waller leaves retirement to play for the Miami Dolphins, who made an exchange with New York giants to take it to the building before the training camp, according to multiple reports on Tuesday.
The giants maintained Waller’s rights after announcing their retirement after a season in New York in 2023. They received a selection of sixth 2026 round for Waller and a conditioned selection of the seventh 2027 round in the NFL draft, according to ESPN.

The retirement Waller’s return occurred one day after the Dolphins sent their closed wing of the Pro Bowl since 2024, Jonnu Smith, to the Pittsburgh Steelers in an agreement that involved Jalen Ramsey and Minkah Fitzpatrick.
Waller considers that he is the headline, although he will have to compete with Julian Hill and Pharaoh Brown for that role in the training camp.

People near Waller said that “football lost,” according to ESPN, and that he wanted to return to the game if a team wanted him.
The 32 -year -old was one of the best wings of the NFL with 2,341 reception yards in 197 receptions with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2019 and 2020 combined. He had 12 touchdowns during that period.
The Raiders gave Waller an extension of three years worth $ 51 million, but was changed to the giants after the 2022 season.

Waller finally announced that he retired after a health scare in November 2023.
In a YouTube video, Waller revealed that he fought to breathe and spent 3½ days in a hospital unable to stand up, use the bathroom or even feed. While he did not reveal the diagnosis that the doctors gave him for those ailments, he said that the “very terrifying situation” changed his mentality, and decided to retire with an focus on his musical career.
Waller has also been very public about his battles with addiction, especially an overdose of 2017 that changed his life for the better. Since then, he has used his own experience with addiction and rehabilitation to help others.

With the dolphins, Waller hopes to be a force in the offensive. It will be associated with Tua Tagovaila, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and other electric players on that side of the ball.
Waller will also meet with his former wing coach of the Raiders, Frank Smith, who worked with him from 2018-20.
