Battagram:
An unidentified man on a motorcycle shot and killed a police officer in a gasoline bomb in the Battagram area on Friday night.
According to the police, the suspect opened fire against the agent and fled the scene immediately after committing the crime. They added that agent Ghulam Ishaq, a Pazangang resident, Allai, was refraining his motorcycle on a gasoline pump in the Maidan Battagram area when the suspect, who had been chasing him, opened fire at a short distance.
The agent collapsed in the place and succumbed to his wounds.
After the incident, a strong contingent of the Battagram police along with a large number of local residents reached the crime scene. The body was transferred to a nearby hospital for Post Mortem and then delivered to the victim’s family for burial in his hometown.
Police have sealed all departure routes and established control points in an attempt to stop the defendant. According to the FIR housed by the victim’s family, a rival party of the same village was involved in an ongoing dispute over a girl has been appointed in the case.
