Islamabad:
The Government extended the deadline to present expressions of interest (EOIS) to buy the national flag carrier, PIA, for two weeks, the Ministry of Privatization said Tuesday.
The Ministry did not provide any reason for the extension of the deadline from June 3 to 19. Nor did he reveal if an EOI had been presented so far for the sale of a 51 to 100% participation in the airlines.
The previous attempt to privatize the airline full of debts failed last year when a single offer was received that was well below the initial price of more than $ 300 million.
