Deion Sanders will train in Boulder in the predictable future.
Two years ago, Coach Prime brought an unprecedented level of care for Colorado football. On Friday, the University announced that an extension of the five -year contract for Sanders had received the approval of the Regent Board.
The five -year contract has a value of $ 54 million, the NFL average reported.
The salary would make Sanders one of the best paid coaches of university football and links it with Colorado during the 2029 season.

According to the informed terms of the New Deal, Coach Prime will earn $ 10 million in each of the first two seasons under extension. It obtains a salary increase of $ 1 million for the third and fourth year. Sanders compensation jumps to $ 12 million in the last year of the agreement.

“I am excited about the opportunity to continue building something special here in Colorado,” Sanders said in a statement published on Friday. “We just scratched the surface of what this program can be. It is not just football; it is about developing young men who are ready to face the world.”
Sanders also included an ironic comment at the end of the statement.
“I am committed to bringing greatness to this university, inside and outside the field. We have work to do, and I would not want to be anywhere else, but here, making history with these incredible players and this passionate fan base. Finally, did anyone get at least one five -room house with surface for sale?”

Colorado left a 1-11 season before Sanders’ arrival to Boulder. He guided the buffalos to a record of 4-8 in his first season to the helm. The coach Prime then supervised an important review of the low season list that helped Colorado to improve 9-3 in his second regular season in the bank. The buffaloes suffered a loss of 36-14 at the Alamo Bowl last December.
Last season he also scored the return of the Buffaloes to the Big 12 conference.
Sanders seemed to attract some interest of the Dallas Cowboys amid the search for training in the head of the franchise earlier this year. The owner of the Jerry Jones team later confirmed that he spoke with Sanders during the search, but admitted that the conversation was of a personal nature.
“Only a conversation about the team and where it is, and their children, conversation with their children, that kind of conversation,” Jones said.
The Cowboys finally promoted Brian Schottenheimer to the position of the chief coach, and Sanders will now stay with Colorado.
