Deion Sanders spent almost a decade and a half playing in the NFL, winning two Super Bowls along the way. It was included in the Hall of Fame of Professional Soccer in 2011.
The former field marshal of the Dallas Cowboys and current NFL analyst, Troy Aikman, joined Sanders for a recent edition of Sanders’ Show, “We Got Time Today”, which flows in Tubi.
At a time during the wide conversation, the former Cowboys couple discussed the possibility that Sanders someday returns to professional football.

Despite his familiarity with professionals, Sanders pointed out the modern NFL practice style when he revealed what would prevent him from taking a coach’s job with any of the 32 league franchises.
“That is the way we practice,” Sanders said. “I know it is nice, but I could not train Pro Ball. The way they practice, the way they do, I could not take it, as a man and as a football enthusiast. I care about the game. … there is no way That happens on my watch.

Sanders became a media star once he finished his career. But in recent years, Sanders has focused on training at the university level. After a successful three stations career in Jackson State, Sanders took work at the University of Colorado.
The buffalo improved with Sanders in 2024, and success added fuel to the idea of Sanders could soon leave university football for the NFL.
This is not the first time that Sanders has ruled out the suggestion that he would make the jump to the NFL. In 2022, he told “60 minutes” that “he could not train” at the professional level.
“I couldn’t train Pro Ball,” he explained. “It’s not just about fame or money. It is about the love of the game. The way things are done now, I could not accept it. It would be difficult for me to let that happen under my watch.”

During an appearance in “Good Morning America” last month, Sanders was asked once again about his NFL training prospects.
“The only way I would consider is to train my children,” Sanders said. “No son. Children.”
The cowboys separated from chief coach Mike McCarthy in January. The owner of the Cowboys, Jerry Jones, confirmed that he had a conversation with Sanders during the search for the franchise of his next chief coach. Dallas finally hired Brian Schottenheimer, but Aikman said “it would make a lot of sense” to lead the cowboys.
“They asked me many questions about how you think I would do it?” Aikman told. “I said: ‘I think Deion would do very well.’

Aikman said he understood how Sanders could have a greater impact at the university level.
“You are not impressing young men in the way you are in university, but to suggest that it would not be good in that or that it is successful, I do not think that people really know the story of Deion. I think that, because Dallas, because Deion would really fit because I would have ordered the room.
“His personality is such that people would have known that they were in charge. I think it is important that any organization knows that the chief coach is the one who is calling the shots and is in charge.”
Aikman and Sanders played for the cowboys when the team won the 1996 Super Bowl.
Sanders trained the winner of the Heisman Travis Hunter trophy and the sons Shedersur Sanders and Shilo Sanders during their first two seasons in Colorado. He also trained the trio in Jackson State. The three pursue professional soccer careers, with Shedeur and Hunter that are expected to be first -round selections in the April NFL draft.
