It turns out that Deion Sanders will be content regardless of what the team selects your son Shedeur Sanders in the NFL draft next month.
Colorado’s football coach suggested previously that he would advise his son to avoid playing for certain NFL teams. But, during a recent interview, Sanders clarified his position.
“Honestly, Shedeur has told me that he has told me carefully about all the visits he has had with all the teams,” said Deion during an appearance in “The Skip Bayless Show.”

Later, Sanders was asked if he would try to “orchestrate” where Shedeur went to the NFL 2025 draft.

“No, because that is not the will of God right now. I want Shedeur to do what he has done constantly: he protrudes against wind and tide. I like hate. I like that the termination. I like ignorance because it makes us feel better with what we do. He gives him another chip on his shoulder.”

Deion previously stated: “It will be an Eli” by explaining how Travis Hunter winner of Shedeur and Reigning Heisman Travis Hunter would drive the draft. Sanders’ comment was also a wink to the infamous situation of the 2004 NFL 2004 Draft of Eli Manning.

It was projected that Manning would be the best choice in the Draft class of that year, and the Chargers had the number 1 team. But the franchise was winning a reputation as a destination that young quartbacks should avoid.
According to the reports, the Manning agent informed the Chargers that his client would sit the whole season if the team recruited him. According to reports, Manning’s family got involved, and the field marshal was recruited and changed to New York giants.
It is projected that Shedeur will land somewhere in the first round. The 2025 NFL draft begins on Thursday, April 24.
