A high -level parliamentary delegation led by the president of the Popular Party of Pakistan (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, arrived in the United States to represent Pakistan’s position on the recent conflict with India, said Express News on Sunday.

The high -level diplomatic visit led by Bilawal, who has also served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country, occurs following the escalation of India after Pahalgam’s attack. Both neighbors with nuclear weapons experienced augmented military tensions, during which Pakistan knocked down six Indian planes. The fire was reached after the intervention of US President Donald Trump.

According to the sources, the Committee headed by Bilawal will meet with members of the United States administration, Congress, Think Tanks and the media to inform them about Pakistan’s position regarding increasing tensions with India.

The delegation aims to highlight what calls the fundamental causes of the possible conflict of Pakistan-India and propose concerns about Indian misinformation campaigns and foreign influence operations aimed at Pakistan.

The Committee will also meet with the United Nations Secretary General, António Guterres in New York, followed by meetings with senior Trump administration officials in Washington.

A key approach will be the involvement of any interruption in the swing of the Indo waters and its potential impact on regional security. “The parliamentary team will clearly communicate how the provocations and misinformation of India threaten regional peace,” said a source familiar with the visit.

The delegation is expected to remain in the United States until June 9, after which it will travel to the United Kingdom and then continue to several European countries. The prominent members of the delegation include former Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, former sent Jalil Abbas Jilani, Khurram Dastgir and Musadik Malik.

After the high fire with India, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appointed Bilawal to lead a high -level delegation responsible for presenting the “case of Pakistan’s peace” about the recent Indian aggression to the international community.

The Committee will be involved with world leaders and institutions to raise awareness about India’s actions and Pakistan’s concerns regarding the Treaty of Indo’s waters. The government has also planned to send additional delegations to other countries as part of a broader diplomatic scope.
