Although Tom Thibodeau has not spoken since the New York Knicks relieved him of his chief training duties, one of his former players revealed what he is thinking after talking to him.
Derrick Rose, the former Knicks star who played for Thibodeau for years, described him “crazy” to see New York move from the former chief coach.
“I talked to Thibhibs after that. It’s good,” Rose said during a Press Conference from Nascar, where he worked as a great Marshal in Chicago.

The Knicks must still pay Tibodeau, since a purchase was part of their agreement he signed before the start of last season.
“You can’t get angry when you go with $ 30 million,” Rose added. “So, I can’t feel sorry for him. But he is in a good mood. Yes, that’s my boy. We lock ourselves to the end. But he’s good. Jalen [Brunson] He is still in New York. He will be dancing. Everyone wins, I feel that “.
It is unknown if Thibodeau is looking to train anywhere this season, although the Knicks found their replacement. Mike Brown will be the new team chief coach.
The Tibodeau mandate in New York lasted five seasons, during which he took his team to the playoffs four times.
The most recent race went to the East Conference finals, when the Knicks fell to the Indiana Pacers, the same team that defeated them in the second round of the previous year.

Rose joined Thibodeau when he started his time with the Knicks during the 2020-21 campaign. The former MVP of the Chicago Bulls played three seasons with Thibodeau in New York, as well as with the Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Knicks of Thibodeau constantly improved for the season, but their use of their stars, especially Jalen Brunson, was criticized by many.

It made sense in playoff situations, but its headlines also ran high minutes during regular seasonal games.
