Development Budget for the next prosecutor to exceed RS1tr

The federal government planned to assign more than RS1 Billones in next year’s budget for several development projects, including hundreds of billions of rupees for road infrastructure and water and energy projects, and considerable funds for the promotion of higher education.

According to the sources, on June 2, a meeting of the Annual Plan Coordination Committee (APCC) has been convened to finish the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) and the Annual Development Plan (ADP) for fiscal year 2025-26.

The plans will be sent to the National Economic Council (NEC), chaired by the Prime Minister, for approval this week. After the approval of the NEC, the development schemes will be part of the Federal Budget 2025-26 because it will be presented on June 10.

The total disbursement of the development budget is expected to be more than RS1 billion, according to the sources.

According to the proposed PSDP, they said that the allocation of RS170 billion for the construction of roads, RS140 billion for water and RS105 billion projects for the energy division has been proposed.
