DG ISPR rebukes army detractors

Islamabad:

The general director of Public Relations between Services (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, pointed to those who criticized the role of the military in national defense on Saturday, asking them to tell him now if the armed forces have fulfilled their duty or not.

“You [critics] He used to say that the army does not do his job, now he asks them, has the army fulfilled his duty or not? “The ISPR DG said during a special interactive session with students and teachers in Islamabad days after the success of Operation Bunyan-Um-Marsoos against the unprovoked aggression of India.

“Should those who spoke against the army and their officers be responsible?” Lieutenant General Chaudhry asked.

Pakistan launched the Bunyan-Mou-Marshals operation on May 10, damaging Indian military facilities, including missile storage sites, air bases and other strategic objectives.

The tensions between the residents of two arms intensified after 26 people, most of them tourists, were killed in illegally occupied Indians Jammu and Kashmira (Iiojk) on April 22. India immediately blamed Pakistan for the incident, despite not providing public evidence. On May 7, India carried out missile attacks in Punjab and Ajk, destroying a mosque and killing dozens of civilians, including women, children and the elderly. Islamabad responded by demolishing six Indian airplanes.

When heading to the meeting, the army spokesman emphasized the critical role of young people in the configuration of the future of the country and recognized their contributions as vital for national progress.

He warned about the malicious intentions of the enemy and emphasized the need for national unity. Pakistan is a cradle of peace, and any victory for Pakistan is essentially a victory for peace, he said.

Speaking to students, the DG ISPR expressed optimism about the future of the country. “The love you have demonstrated for Pakistan and its armed forces is proof that our future is not only brilliant, it is brilliant,” he said.

Lieutenant General Chaudhry declared that Pakistan’s army extracts his strength from the people, and people are firmly with their armed forces.

He reaffirmed the link between the armed forces and the people, calling civilians the “iron wall.”

The DG ISPR also declared that today’s generations and tomorrow will never shy away from defending Pakistan. He also stressed that terrorism witnessed in Pakistan has clear links with Indian participation.

“Now we must redirect the iron wall, our national unit, in which they eliminate terrorism. If people and the army join, no terrorist will survive in this country,” he said. He called the students to respect their teachers. “We must greet our educators.” On behalf of the Armed Forces, he offered a greeting to the teachers of all Pakistan.

Separately, the ISPR DG, praised Iran’s peace efforts in the recent Pakistan-India conflict and warned about the “forces” that sought to create a crack among fraternal countries.
