- Some Spotify users reported that they could not access music
- Regular users of the application were not affected; It is a repression in ‘cracked’ applications
- Cracked applications users are not being prohibited
Many Spotify users have found themselves unable to access the service, and the reason seems to be the use of cracked or unauthorized applications.
Apparently, some Spotify reports began to circulate on March 3, but it turned out that the service was not available for a very specific user group: people who use applications based on the Highly unofficial Spotify Premium APK.
Spotify’s Premium APK aims to allow people to access some or all Premium Spotify characteristics without being Spotify Premium subscribers (that is, without paying the music transmission service), and seems to have been blocked on March 3.
What is happening?
Why some Spotify users are finding that their applications do not work
Techradar understands that informed application problems are due to Spotify taking routine measures to enforce its terms and conditions, which prohibits the use of cracked applications. And we also understand that no one who has been using such applications will be beaten with the Ban Hammer: they will only be beaten to the free service.
Some sites have suggested that the abrupt disappearance of the APK exposes users to risk: they say that if users now blocked look for alternative ways to deceive the system, they could end in the parts of the application discharge websites where malware and scammers tend to congregate. And that is true, but, of course, that is not Spotify’s problem.
What surprises me is how many people seem to prefer the risk of cracked applications to simply keep a free spotify submarine, get premium with something more or simply put on their pirate hats from the old school and download specific songs from the usual places.
And that makes me ask me: What do they value here if music is not? Would they want a cracked application if Spotify offered the same premium characteristics, but the music was made by AI? I am not sure to want to know the answer to that.
