Dallas Wings player Dijonai Carrington spoke against the referees for calling security in a publication on social networks on Friday.
During an altercation heated with the officials during the defeat of the Wings against Chicago Sky Thursday, the security guards approached when Carrington became increasingly demonstrative.
A security guard even got between Carrington and an official. The official moved away from Carrington as he pulled the security guard for his shirt against Carrington to obtain protection.

Carrington responded to the incident in a position on Friday X, which suggests that the security call was a “microstion.”
“Security … when I literally have a civil conversation is crazy. Of course, he called” security “there …” Carrington wrote about an incident clip with a poorly written hashtag “microaghere.”
Pak Gazette Digital has communicated with the WNBA and the sky to comment.

The former Dallas Wings player, Cheryl Swoopes, also spoke against the referee who summoned security in a position in X.
“If this man was scared (what, I don’t know) and needed security, he should never be able to refer again! This cannot be real!” Swoopes wrote.
Carrington became a controversial figure in WNBA last season.
As a member of Connecticut Sun in 2024, Carrington gave Indiana Famer Caitlin Clark’s rookie a purple eye after pushing it during a game in the first round of the playoffs in September. Carrington laughed with his Marine Mabrey teammate after the incident.

Carrington has said that he did not intentionally pushed Clark in his eyes and that he was not laughing at the incident. However, it seemed to make the light of the controversy over Clark’s black eye in a live Instagram video in October.
In the video, Carrington and his girlfriend, Nalysa Smith, who plays for Indiana fever with Clark, were in their kitchen when Smith pushed Carrington in the eye.
“Ow, you put me in the eye,” Carrington said. Smith apologized and the two laughed.
“Did you do it on purpose?” Carrington asked.
During the “unparalleled” league season in January, Carrington wore a shirt that said: “The f-Donald Trump” while walking towards Wayfair Arena in Miami, Florida.
Then, during a press conference after another game that month, Carrington declared that it was time for WNBA players to “take measures” in response to President Donald Trump’s policies.

“We see that some of the policies are already in action and, of course, that means that, like WNBA and be at the forefront of many of these movements, it is time for us to also take measures,” Carrington said.
“It must definitely happen as women, women’s rights are removed. As, now, the LGBTQ rights that are being removed now. They have not yet happened, but definitely in process.”
