- Disney+ has confirmed that its recent price increase extends to the United Kingdom customers
- The change is already in force, since it was introduced on September 30.
- Price increase will affect all Disney+ levels
Days after we report the latest Disney+ prices increase for American customers, we can now confirm that the change will also affect those of the United Kingdom.
One of the best transmission services has announced price increases in each subscription, including plans without advertising. This entered into force on September 30.
The Disney+ ‘Standard with Ads’ level has increased from £ 4.99 per month to £ 5.99 per month. Meanwhile, the standard (ADS) plan has increased from £ 8.99 per month to £ 9.99 per month, or £ 89.90 per year to £ 99.90 per year, to see the complete list of price changes, even for the Disney+’Premium’ plan, see later.
It has been a turbulent moment for the Disney transmission service, since recently, Disney+, Hulu and ESPN suffered a great blow after millions of fans closed their accounts about Jimmy Kimmel Row.
What are the new Disney+ Tier prices?
I have outlined the old and new Disney+ costs in the United Kingdom below, where subscribers are seeing an increase of 11% to 20% depending on what level they are.
At a glance, it is frustrating to see that even the cheapest level of Disney+has become more expensive. Given the news, I would not be surprised if customers choose to cancel their subscriptions completely.
Plan |
Old price |
New price |
Disney+ standard with ads |
£ 4.99 per month |
£ 5.99 per month |
Disney+ Standard (monthly) |
£ 8.99 per month |
£ 9.99 per month |
Disney+ Standard (Annual) |
£ 89.90 per year |
£ 99.90 per year |
Disney+ Premium (monthly) |
£ 12.99 per month |
£ 14.99 per month |
Disney+ Premium (Annual) |
£ 129.90 per year |
£ 149.90 per year |
Despite the increases, the PREMIUM ‘level of Disney+ is cheaper than the equivalent level of Netflix (without ads), which is £ 18.99 per month, so fans of the best Disney+ programs and the best Disney+ films still pay less than the rivals.
Price increases are always disappointing news, but there are some ways in which it can save cash in a Disney+subscription, even if the new price plans are inevitable.
One of the best ways to pay less for a subscription is to see if there is any offer that allows you to obtain a free Disney+test. While Disney no longer offers this introductory agreement, you can still find it as part of a benefit for a mobile, broadband or retailer membership in certain areas, so it is worth exploring.
