- Antigravity is incubated by Insta360
- A world 360 drone with ‘immersive flight’ is scheduled for August launch
- Will film an 8K video and weigh less than 250 g
Insta360 and DJI are entering the worlds of others this week, with Insta360 today revealing Antigravity, a 360 -degree drone project in process, and DJI will launch its first 360 camera on July 31. Take me the corn popcorn.
Antigravity’s philosophy is simple: 360 immersive flight with the world’s first 360 drone. And the project has an advantage since it is incubated by Insta360, the main 360 camera manufacturer in the world.
The details are thin on the ground; We know that the next drone will present ‘several first World Cups in Drone Design’, which is ready for an August launch; that will record an 8K video; and that will weigh less than 250 g, which makes it accessible for both beginner and expert pilots.
If the first 360 drone is effectively an insta360 x5 flying, then we are in a gift, especially with the dynamic videos that could be created using 360 degree images, in addition to the new type of flight experience.
The two -page press release of Antigravity is full of high promises. “Incubed by Insta360 in collaboration with third parties, Antigravity develops powerful 360 drones that are immersive, ready for the creator and easy to fly for anyone, either to capture family moments, weekend adventures or creative projects,” reads the press release.
“Its mission is to make drone flight more inclusive, expressive and fun. By combining 360 capture with intuitive control systems, anti -raveness is a pioneer in a new category of aerial exploration and stories narration.”
Filtered prototype
The Antigravity press release focuses on his brand vision, with little through product information. However, we have apparently seen a first glance of the next drone in a video shared by Insta360 Tipster @quadro_News in X (previously Twitter).
We still do not know the name of the new drone that is “ready to revolutionize the industry”, but the 360 drone prototype seems to have twin cameras for a full coverage of 360 degrees, one that faces directly up, the other directly down.
There are also twin sensors in the front of the drone, which are presumably for the detection of objects, that is a characteristic flight safety practice.

We still do not know if the next Drone 360 will shoot 360 images without the propellers in the shot, or how the drone will be controlled beyond what Antigravity calls “intuitive control systems”, that could mean anyone or the totality of a mobile application, remote control or headphones.
A sight without propeller will be crucial for the entire experience, and when looking at the high design we have seen in prototypes, it could allow that. Even so, everything will be revealed in the coming weeks, since the new anti -rave drone will be presented in August.
Without a doubt, it is a completely different type of drone from what you will find in the DJI portfolio, and potentially one of the biggest shaking in the drone market for years. I think that combining camera and 360 drones worlds in a single product makes total sense, if it is carried out effectively.
Antigravity wants to “own” the 360 space of drones. If your first product is a success, you would expect a ticking clock on that property, especially with DJI’s history and how you are about to enter the 360 camera space.
