- Apparent prototype of dji mini 5 pro stained and broken by Mountain Biker
- Serial Leaker says that the source of trust has indicated on August 7, 2025 launch date
- According to reports, the new ultralight drone will come with Lidar sensors
Drone lovers, prepare for takeoff: the launch of the DJI Mavic 5 Pro of long data could be imminent, according to a serial filter.
The replacement of the DJI Mini 4 Pro, which we describe as the best ultralight drone of its class, must obtain its official launch on August 7, 2025, if it is believed in the blogger of drones in series Jesper Ellens. Writing in Dronexl, Ellens reports that a (reliable) contact has been sent by a message sharing the date. He also says that, although he generally prefers to wait more corroboration before publishing a rumor like this, this source had never been wrong before.
If it is true, the date is just seven weeks away, weeks in which we expect more news and rumors about the DJI Mini 5 Pro will shoot. We also suspect that we will obtain more photos of the drone in nature, such as a new captured by a Chinese mountain cyclist who states that he simply found a drone prototype in a park.
The image was shared by another drone filter in series, @maurorai, and although it is of a fairly poor quality, it seems to show a small folding drone with larger front sensors (see below).

This fits well with the first rumors about the mini 5 pro last year; In December 2024, Jesper Ellens (yes, we said it was a series filter) said that it would come with Lidar sensors, as well as ventilated engines.
Lidar, which would greatly improve the obstacle avoidance system of drones, particularly in low light conditions, has recently begun to appear in high -end DJI drones such as the DJI Air 3S and DJI Mavic 4 Pro, so we would not surprise us to see it in a next DJI Mini 5 Pro.
Meanwhile, ventilated engines could result in a stronger flight performance: higher air speed, better wind resistance and a longer battery life.
Other updates to come?
The updates of Lidar and the ventilated engine on themselves could be enough to convince people to be updated to the mini 5 pro of a mini 4 pro, but we have also heard speculations about a larger 1 inch sensor for the camera (the mini 4 pro has a sensor of 1/1.3 inches), which could really excite people, especially if DJI maintains the weight of 250g of 250g of 1/1.3 inches), what could really excite people, especially if DJI maintains the exceptional weight 250g.
In the United Kingdom, the EU and the United States, the superior 250 Gy drones are subject to more rules, regulations and restrictions, so ultraliganeous models such as DJI’s mini range fulfill an important role, provided they maintain their total takeoff weight under that figure.
Are attentive for more rumors of DJI Mini 5 in the coming weeks.
