- Four new photos of DJI Osmo 360 have leaked online
- 360 action chamber with tip for the launch of July 2025
- It is said that the specification rivals that of the Insta360 x5
However, more filtered images of the DJI Osmo 360 long duration have been published in X (previously known as Twitter), which shows the 360 -degree action chamber from almost all angles.
Despite being in the water, the four images, published by the prolific technological filter Igor Bogdanov (which tweet as @quadro_news), can be our clearest appearance to the first 360 camera of DJI.
They are aligned with previous filtered images of the device, showing a dark gray action chamber with ultra ultra width lenses on both sides, a small panoramic screen and two physical buttons on one side, in addition to what seems to be an ignition button on one of the edges.
I think DJI has a different strategy. After all, we are waiting for it: the osmo 360😜#osmo360 pic.twitter.com/snoyom7p6fJune 26, 2025
A genuine challenge to the supremacy of the Insta360 x5?
DJI manufactures drones, gimbals, action cameras and more, so moving to the 360 action chamber space seems a logical progression for the manufacturer with headquarters in Shenzhen, although one that would put it in direct competition with the market leader, Insta360 (also based in Shenzhen, fun).
If these images are genuine, and we suspect strongly that they are, OSMO 360 is very similar to the Insta360 X5, our best current 360 camera: the same dark gray color, bulbous lenses, rounded edges and a similar size screen (although arranged in a different orientation).
And the appearance might not be the only thing that the two cameras have in common, because Tipster @gatamer previously claimed that the DJI Osmo 360 will have “almost the same” technical specifications as the X5, which has a pair of 1.28 inches sensors capable of recording 360 videos at 8k 30 fps or 5.7k 60fps of quality, in addition to options for a HDR shooting and a flat -time color shower for a flat -time registration profile.

As a result of its largest sensors, the Insta360 X5, which was launched earlier this year, is possibly the first 360 camera that can record decent quality video at night, so it will be interesting to see how DJI Osmo 360 rates in similar conditions of low light.
Apart from that, we have heard very little about what Osmo 360 could bring to the table as the first 360 camera of DJI. Insta360 has established a very high bar with the X5, but DJI certainly has technical knowledge to compete in this space.
The good news is that we may not have to wait long to find out. According to another frequent technology Tipster, Jasper Ellens, DJI will officially announce OSMO 360 on July 15, 2025, just three weeks away.
We are eager to see what DJI has in the store, and Ellens says it will not be the only new product that the company launches in July, with a DJI Osmo Nano Ultra Compact Action Chamber and a DJI Mic 3 wireless microphone also to arrive soon.
